Favorite beer style: Irish Ale, of course.
First beer experience: Kalik in the Bahamas when I was, oh, about 12 years old. It was really skunky, btw.
How did you end up at SBC?: I’ve been coming to SBC since it first opened “across the street”, and was so confident that it would be successful that I bought shares.
When you started at SBC: Last year they needed help keeping track of inventory so I made them think they were twisting my arm when they asked me to join the team, but I was delighted! One of the best decisions of my life.
Favorite part of working for a brewery: Drinking a duty beer after work, smelling the malts cooking in the mash ton and trying to guess what they’re making today, laughing, watching new big equipment being set up in the brew house, solving problems, picking on the interns, music wars, did I say laughing? Oh, was I supposed to pick just one?
Favorite activity: This answer changes almost daily, but recently it’s been “Sitting around a campfire playing my guitar for a bunch of friends while drinking Bonfire Brown”.
Favorite location ever visited: Port Protection, Alaska. Last time we went we even home-brewed beer with some of the locals.
Fun Fact: Maggie has a beer named after her. Her husband, Ron, has it on tap at their house for her at all times – on nitro because “That’s the way Maggie likes it.” Check it out here.
